RTSB Community Jam

AllStylesDanceBattle - Postponed.jpg

From the Direction of Skyline College and San Mateo Community College District, we must sadly confirm that the RTSB Community Jam is now POSTPONED due to COVID-19 concerns. While this decision comes during a time of uncertainty, we take the health and safety of our attendees, staff, volunteers, performers, artists, vendors, competitors and our entire community very seriously. We hope that everyone takes care of each other and follows the guidelines and protocols put forth by the CDC.

There is no set date for the RTSB Community Jam, but the organizers are currently planning on creating a new and improved event as early as they possibly can.

Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all at our next event.

How We D.R.I.P.

YOUTH CONFERENCE - FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH, 2020

Rock the School Bells is proud to present our 13th Annual Youth Conference themed as How We D.R.I.P., and acronym for Design/ing Revolutionary & Innovative Practices. While our team came up with this acronym, DRIP can be defined however others want it to be. This year will focus on workshops that amplify, center, and lift our students' voices and experiences.

The conference will provide interactive workshops, group discussions, campus resources, and live performances. We will also have Lunch Special Emcee Cipher hosted by All Tribes SF Zuluz.

Our keynote speaker this year is Rocky Rivera. Rocky, or “the First Lady of Beatrock,” has been etching out her lane with her signature brand of brashness and lyrical wit since her debut mixtape, “Married To The Hustle.” Rocky’s music is a journey into the spirit of resistance in the form of loud bass and energetic feminist anthems. Her latest album, Rocky's Revenge, was created in collaboration with Women's Audio Mission.

The conference is FREE for all youth and students. Snacks and refreshments will be provided all throughout the day. Last year, we sold out so please reserve your spot today by getting your RTSB Conference ticket.

Conference Workshops include:

  • Street Dance Fundamentals with Zulu Gremlin

  • Manifest Greatness: Inspiring Communities through Our Passions with Shinobi Jaxx

  • For Us, By Us: Creating Business Ideas to Disrupt & Empower with Simone Hufana

  • From the Block to the Booth: How To Make a Hip Hop Party into a Hit Rap Song by Unlearn The World

  • Latinx Trap: 100% Puro DRIP with Charlie "The Hustle" Morales

  • Finding Your Sound Beatmaking Workshop with Today's Future Sound

  • Quetzal Beats: (Re)Mixing Social Movements with Ana K. Pano & Paula S. Ayala

We have completely sold out of tickets for the youth conference on 3/6. However, we are still looking for volunteers. Free Lunch will be provided and a RTSB T-shirt. SIGN UP HERE
